Medieval Clothing Features of Women and Men
Do you want to be a medieval mysterious female or gentleman? If you are want and i think you will interested in my this article. I will simply introduce some information about the Medieval women and men clothing features as the following and you can have a reference of if you are interested in the Medieval clothing fashion.
About the women clothing features: Wealthy early Renaissance women wore a three-piece dress with an undercoat, bodice and robe. They used expensive material such as velvet and silk. When poorer women caught on to the fashion trend, the rich would change their style to keep the appearance of a higher social structure, states Real Armor of God. Thus one-piece dresses became popular, and eventually high-class women transformed their outfits with the inclusion of a vest, hoop or collar. The less fortunate would wear pawned clothing or homemade items.
About the men clothing features: Men tended to wear a square-shaped clothing item that was strengthened with the inclusion of thick shoulder pads. Real Armor of God notes that their legs were covered with padded breeches. The shoes were squared. Men wore a brimmed hat. Like the women's clothing, theirs also showed their power and wealth. Men often wore expensive material, with horsehair and fur trimming.
